OPIRG Presents: Amy Goodman In Conversation – Guelph
CFRU 93.3 FM, ASTRA, University of Guelph College of Arts, College of Social and Applied Human Sciences, OPIRG Guelph, the Student Services Fee, DisOrientation Guelphh, and the University of Guelph Central Student Association are pleased to present a lecture, interview, and discussion event with esteemed American journalist and broadcaster, Amy Goodman.
The event takes place in Room 104 of Rozanski Hall (98 Trent Lane) at the University of Guelph on Sunday October 1, 2017. Doors are at 1:30, the event begins at 2:00 PM and concludes at 4:00 PM.
Tickets are $15 for the general public and $10 for students. Student tickets are only available at the Info Desk in the University Centre and valid student identification must be presented. Amy Goodman is the host and executive producer of Democracy Now!, a national, daily, independent, award-winning news program airing on over 1,400 public television and radio stations worldwide, including CFRU 93.3 FM, every weekday at 11:00 AM. She is the winner of multiple awards for her journalism, and the co-author of six New York Times bestsellers and co-writer of a weekly column also produced as an audio podcast.
Goodman will be lecturing on a topic of her choosing. Her on-stage interview will be conducted by longtime CFRU programmer/volunteer, Scotty Hertz-McWhinnie. We are thrilled and honoured that she is visiting Guelph for this appearance.
