Description: Join us to hear about and celebrate everything that is already being done by many individuals, groups, and organizations to create a more welcoming community. We’ll then focus on how to take action in a more coordinated way, and ensure that needed supports and systems are in place and no one falls through the cracks. Issues related to settlement, housing, employment, transportation, education, informal supports, and more will be addressed. This event has been organized by the Council of Canadians, Guelph Wellington Local Immigration Partnership, Lloyd Longfield MP, Muslim Society of Guelph, Refugee Sponsorship Forum, and Waterloo Wellington Learning Alliance Consultants Program.

The outpouring of support over the Syrian refugee crisis has been powerful and inspiring. It’s now time to take our support to the next level by developing a more coordinated response for Guelph Wellington.
