Description: In the wake of the recent deaths of the Walji family in London ON and the series of strikes taking place in by immigration detainees in Lindsay ON it seems a good time to take another deep look at the issue of deportation and detention in Canada.

On Tuesday November 26th, Yvonne Runstedler a high school teacher at Our Lady of Lourdes Highschool and Matthew Behrens a coordinator with Homes not Bombs will be speaking on deportation and detention in Canada. Both individuals will give personal accounts as to how they have responded to issues of deportation and detention in their own communities.

There will also be a discussion and updates on the series of strikes taking place by over 191 immigration detainees in Lindsay ON. Axel Shyaka a current immigration detainee in Lindsay ON will be calling in to give his personal account of incarceration and updates as to what is currently happening inside of the CECC in Lindsay ON.
