Location: 10 Carden (10 Carden St., downtown)
Link out: Click here
Description: Join Guelph Anti-Pipeline and Spatial Integrity in our screening of the outstanding and urgent short film about the Lax Kw’alaams people who are defending their traditional territory Lax U’u’la (Lelu Island) and the Flora Bank wild salmon habitat.

Pacific Northwest LNG, backed by Malaysian energy giant Petronas, wants to construct a massive liquefied fracked gas (LNG) terminal on the island. The B.C. provincial government is trying to green light the project which would devastate the Skeena River, the natural wildlife and countless communities. The Lax Kw’alaams have voted unanimously against the project and have occupied the site since 2015.

Lax kw’alaams Hereditary Chief Yahaan will be skyping in with us at the end of the movie to give updates and answer any questions!
