Description: Description Join us for our 5th annual MayDay Dinner for a Large Mexican Feast and to hear 3 speakers from Iguala, Mexico, who are currently crossing Canada to raise awareness about the 6 murdered people and 43 Disappeared students in Ayotzinapa Mexico on September 26th 2014.
As we continue to focus on the issues of racist immigration policices in Canada, let’s connect the local to the global and hear from those on the other end of those policies in Mexico. Together we can build a de-colonial world across borders.

Hilda Legideño Vargas is the Mother of one of the students disappeared by armed forces on September 26th, 2014. Hilda Legideño Vargas is a collective member of parents of the disappeared who are making international efforts to demand justice.
Jorge Luis Clemente Balbuena is a student activist and member of the Student Committee of Ayotzinapa Normal School.
The attack on the Ayotzinapa Normal school students by Mexican government forces and Narco-gangs have highlighted an extreme corruption and violence used against Mexican people that have resisted corporate, colonial, and narco interests in Mexico.
In the aftermath of the Ayotzinapa attacks, social justice and anti-colonial movements accross Mexico have united in solidarity to resist the corruption and create social revolution that reverberates accross the globe.
