675,000 young people will struggle with their mental health this year and not recieve the help they need. We’re coming together and riding 1 metre for each of them.
That means 675kms in one day, and you can be a part of it! First, you’ll learn to power a wheel chair racing bike with Paralympic Champion Josh Cassidy. Second, you’ll power a racing wheelchair for 30 minutes. Third, with the help of 47 others, we’ll keep those wheels turning, collectively covering a total of 675kms.
Josh is an empathy instigator. Having spent years educating people about the physical obstacles he’s faced, he wants us all to be a little more compassionate.
When Josh invites you onto that wheel chair racing bike, he is inviting you to practice empathy for those facing physical and mental health challenges, and to deepen your understanding of the physical-mental health connection. It’s a powerful, unique opportunity to sweat it out for youth mental health advocacy efforts in Guelph and nation-wide.
Choose your 30 minute shift and join us on June 24th for an unforgettable day.
