Description:

The 9th workshop in the 7th annual Summer Institute

This workshop presents a banquet of research skills and techniques that investigative journalists and private-eyes use to do deep digging research on the Internet. Through story telling we will explore concrete examples of ways to use Google that most people are unaware of and show how to access the wealth of information on the Internet that Google can’t find. Jammed packed from edge to edge, this session will be a chance for novice and expert researchers alike to pick up skills they can use everyday.

Facilitator: Tim Groves is an investigative journalist and freelance researcher based in Toronto. He is passionate about sharing his research skills, and has been a trainer for over five years.
