Description: In 2011, Rob created an social network map depicting the social ties that exist among Guelph’s water activists, and followed up with a series of interviews aimed at uncovering clues about how it is that people come together to take collective action on community issues such as water. In this workshop, you are invited to come and hear a brief presentation of Rob’s research results, and to participate in a facilitated discussion to brainstorm what they might mean for the approaches, strategies and priorities that community groups could be using for strengthening public engagement in water activism and other local causes.
