Description: In this feature length documentary, Alanis Obomsawin tells the story of Shannon’s Dream, a National campaign to provide equitable access to education in safe and suitable schools for First Nations children. Strong participation in this initiative eventually brings Shannon’s Dream all the way to the United Nations in Geneva. Mary Lou Smoke, from London, and friend of Obomsawin, will guide the discussion at the showing of “Hi-Ho Mistahey”.

The Social Justice Committee with Kairos Guelph and Council of Canadians are co-sponsoring this documentary in response to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission mandate to be educating for reconciliation.
